CV Eng

(1992-1996): My first cardiological post was at the Centro Cardiologico Monzino (Monzino Cardiology Centre), the Cardiology Speciality headquarters of Milan’s State University, where I was employed as a General Cardiologist and gained experience in echocardiography and hemodynamics.

(1996-2002): I then moved to the Humanitas Gavazzeni Institute in Bergamo, a heart surgery centre of great renown (highly esteemed European surgeons operated there in the 1980s and 1990s, such as Professors Parenzan, Azzolina, Viganò and Guilmet), where I honed my skills as a General Cardiologist.

(2002-2012:) In 2002 I was designated Head Physician of the Humanitas Gavazzeni Institute’s Cardiological Service for Outpatients and of the Echocardiography Laboratory. Over the course of the following ten years I worked in the Haemodynamic Laboratory of the Cardiology ward  (where I performed approximately 980 PCI procedures – percutaneous coronary interventions – mainly as a first operator, also during Acute Myocardial Infarction) and attended to all types of echocardiography: transthoracic and transesophageal, stress echo, 3D echo analysis of the left and right ventricles, and became the  fiducial member of the Italian Society of Echocardiography for the district of Bergamo and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Society of Echo Cardiac Surgery, an organization that joins the forces of echocardiographers, heart surgeons and anaesthetists in discussions on heart team topics.

(2012-to date:) I have held my current position of Head Physician of the Department of Preventive and Rehabilitative Cardiology of the Humanitas Gavazzeni Institute since 2012.

(2021-to date:) I have been designated also Head Physician of the Clinical Cardiology Ward of the Humanitas Gavazzeni Institute

(2017-to date:) I obtained eligibility as Consultant Non Invasive Cardiologist in Dubai, UAE

(2018-to date:) I am Adjunct Professor at Humanitas University (teacher of Medicine at the Bachelor of Science in Nursing).

I belonged to Heart Surgery Area and to Prevention Area of ANMCO (Italian Association of Hospital Cardiologists)

I enjoy teaching young colleagues and educating patients, and I hold periodic meetings with patients about prevention and rehabilitation, with nurses about EKG interpretation, and with general medicine doctors about echocardiography and various other aspects of the field of cardiology.

My hospital has already obtained five JCI certifications and I headed the Working Group that modified its Medical Record in order to meet all JCI standards.
